Lock 15 Gardens Update

Further to the article by Adrian Leighton expressing frustration at the Canal and River Trust ignoring requests for a meeting to discuss the future of the gardens, it seems some movement may be happening shortly.

Steve Elliott emailed the CEO of the C&RT with the details of Adrian's article and requesting a meeting.

Further to this it was brought to the attention of our Eddisbury MP Ms Antionette Sandbach when she came to Audlem last Saturday. She thought she may be able to help having had previous experience of working with the C&RT when in Wales. She subsequently went to Lock 15 to see for herself and reportedly remarked that 'the garden looked lovely.'

Yesterday Steve Elliot received an email from the C&RT CEO offering to meet shortly. A small step for mankind – but it seems as though the joint persistence of Steve and pressure from our MP may have produced some initial results.
