AUDLEM POST OFFICE TO RE-OPEN THANKS TO WORK OF LOCAL MP AND PARISH COUNCIL

Following a long campaign today it has been announced that the Audlem Post Office will be re-opened with services being restored to the local community.

The Post Office was forced to close in April 2016 with local residents only being offered services in neighbouring towns. Since then local MP, Antoinette Sandbach has been working with Audlem Parish Council to exert pressure on the Post Office to find a solution in order to re-open the branch.

Antoinette Sandbach MP said:
"It is great news for the community that Audlem Post Office is re-opening later this year. I have been pleased to be part of this important campaign, as this is an essential service for local residents and I look forward to seeing the Post Office back in operation."

Coinciding with the announcement to re-open the branch, the Post Office have also launched a 6 week local public consultations to hear people's views on the suitability of the new location. Irrespective of this the new store is due to open on Monday 4 December at the location of Llovely on Cheshire Street.

If you would like to contribute to the consultation go to: postofficeviews.co.uk, quoting branch code 15420699.
