Grand Switch on Gazumped ?

Cheshire East Highways may have undermined our grand lights switch on by getting in first by decorating the River Weaver Bridge.

Following Monday's crash which demolished one of the street lights, CE have installed a smart set of flashing lights: red, red & orange, green, orange and red. They've also added a clever little box that means they change colour when a vehicle approaches.

Together with the hefty crash barriers and safety fencing that have been installed to replace the demolished parapet stones, I'd say these lights will still be with us 2024 Christmas at least.

I've also noticed that the "temporary" Green Lane lights near Rocket Cottage have now also sprouted a similar clever little box. Which surely means they're also here until next Christmas.
