Last walks of the year

The remaining ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) walks for this month and December are:

Saturday November 28th – Short-ARS

We thought we would finish the year with one of our classic local short walks from the village.

We will meet at 9.30am on the Car Park as usual and then do the Highfields and canal towpath circuit, only this time we will go the other way round, i.e. over to Highfields first. This will give different views and perspectives.

There is likely to be some mud on this 4 to 5 mile walk, but not many stiles. Most of the walk will be free of livestock, apart possibly from the bit through the farmyard just before we reach the canal.

Should be back in the village in good time for a festive pint.

Saturday December 5th – Mid-ARS

Kate Down is planning to lead this walk on the day of the ARS XMAS dinner.

She expects it to be round Delamere – more details to follow.

Saturday December 12th – Long-ARS

Anton Woolford will lead this walk up Shuttlingsloe and Shining Tor (weather permitting) – details to follow/nearer the time.
