The opening of this new sparkling jewel to the Audlem Community grows ever nearer.

By the end of the APHAx (Audlem Public Hall Annexe) project, the Big Lottery will have contributed over £600,000 towards the total cost of over £700,000. The APHAx team have been busy raising the £100,000 or so needed to complete the funding.

As part of this, we invited households and businesses to be sponsors and in so doing, have a plaque bearing their names – or those of loved ones – permanently displayed in the entrance area of the new building. Therefore, for evermore, showing their support for what is the most exciting happening in this wonderful village for decades.

And all brought about by a very small band of volunteers – headed by Roland Hall – whose only drive is the do the best for Audlem.

To date we have received close to 200 applications for a plaque. Now, time is running out for us to accept more, so I urge you to act now if you wish to be part of our Sponsors Wall. In the next few days or so, a leaflet will arrive at your house, asking if you would like to show your support in this way.

You can get a Sponsor's form from me (see below) or you can use the links below the picture to download a copy of the two-page Sponsor's form, which you can print out, fill in and send with a cheque (made out to Audlem Public Hall, please) to the APHAx Treasurer, John Tilling, at 27 Cheshire Street (CW3 0AL), or give the form and the money to me or any other member of the APHAx team.

We have to give an end date for such applications as you will understand we have to get each of the plaques made individually. And to have them in place on the Sponsors Wall in time for the Grand Opening by the High Sheriff of Cheshire.

Do please respond as soon as possible if it is your wish to be included.

Any questions? – Please call me on 01270 812125 or 07813 820157 or email to rjw@notrubraw.com,

Thank you

Ralph Warburton, APHAx team member.
