Audlem's favourite musician, the hugely talented Jim Kirkpatrick, is celebrating after his new album has been selected for release by London indie record label, 'A Startled Chameleon'. The album Changed Priorities is being released on Monday and could now deliver the recognition Jim's talent deserves. He says: "I am over the moon to finally be releasing some of my own stuff. You could probably label it bluesy rock but there are a few acoustic numbers on the album. I am influenced by artists like Rory Gallagher and Jimi Hendrix."

The 26-year old, who lives in Kinsey Heath, has been a regular on the local music scene, first making an impact eight years ago with Big Blue House. He now performs with Heavy Weather and other bands. He plays regularly at the Shroppie Fly and is a big supporter of the Audlem Festival – the Blues Jam night he leads on the last night of the Festival is always a highlight. He has also toured throughout Europe and USA with professionals like Thea Gilmore (who sang with Jim at last year's Audlem Festival) and the legendary Joan Baez.

Jim will be playing tracks from his new album at the Limelight in Crewe on Monday. The gig starts at 9.00pm. Tickets are £2.50 and the box office number is 01270 251929.
