A Pal's Moving House

This is a fact, a fact indeed
One which can upset or delight
Depending on the situation

This fact has upset me-
It's just because a friend of mine
Has just moved house!

She has been a good pal
For many a month
She and I chatted-via our telephones
Each week.
Local news and news of our own.

Never mind – I'm being unfair! -
She deserves her house move -
She's nearby her family now
So I know she will be looked after
And loved.

I just needed to tell her, I'm delighted for her
And to pass on my affection-
To tell her I will miss our weekly calls.
