Have you ever taken quite a while to complete something? If so, exactly how long did it take?
Did you adopt the, I’ll finish it tomorrow philosophy, or the, I’ll complete it at the weekend approach, or even the, I’ll leave it till the weather picks up scenario. Or did you take on a something that big, that it took you months, or even several years to complete.
It did after all take over 3 years to erect Blackpool Tower, and it took almost 6 years to complete the Euro tunnel, which is nothing compared to the 20 years it took the Egyptians to construct the great pyramid of Gaza, (and they didn’t even have to fit any doors or windows, what were they doing?)
Well let me tell you, all of the above pale into insignificance, when compared to something that I have been working on for decades. First started in 1992, (no, that is not a typo) it was 1992, the year that the world’s first text message was sent (I think it read, I can’t ever see this catching on, can you? No emoji) Basic instinct was showing at the cinema and Queens Bohemian Rhapsody was number 1 in the charts. It was another era, a time of landlines, Yellow Pages and Ceefax (look it up kids, you will not believe it).
So you may be wondering, just what it is that could possibly have taken 34 years to complete and just why, has it taken all that time? Well, it’s a very long story, a story that will be told fully in due course, but for now all I can say is, all will be soon revealed and hopefully it will bring a lot of pleasure to people across the globe, and just maybe it will put the name of Audlem into the minds of many. I just hope that the 34 year investment into the project will have been worth the very, very long wait.
Watch out for the next instalment, where all will be fully revealed.

Ed – no, we don't have any idea what this is about, either.
