(The website link that was here no longer works) No, not yet, but good progress is being made. The alterations at Audlem Methodist Church are moving towards their final phase, with completion due next month.

Most of the outside work is done. The new steps and ramp are in place. A balustrade is still to be added and the two little lakes at the front are to become planting beds. There is some re-marking of the car park and a bit of tidying up to be done, then the outside will be complete. Inside, the new gallery is in place. It has walls, a floor for upstairs and a staircase to get there. At the front, the new floor levels have been established and all the surplus furniture has gone. The glaziers have finished their work, with all windows either re-glazed or renewed. The electrician has completed the 'first fix' with all new cabling safely in place. The plasterers are due soon, as are the decorators. When they are done, the main floor is to be stripped and sealed and some carpets laid. The end will then be in sight! A certain amount of kit has to be installed, the furniture has to return and all the finishing off jobs done, then you will all be welcome to come and view the results.

In the meantime there is lots of other information, and loads of photos, at www.audlemmethodistchurch.org.uk/alterations (The website link that was here no longer works) .
