AudlemOnline has received the following email: "I recently came across an article on your website. I appreciate that it is 2 years ago in 2012. However could you possibly share contact details for Dave Gardner as I believe Thomas Gardner is my Great, Great Grand Father.
From Gardner's of Stafford"

Has anybody further information on Thomas Gardner?

Request

Our original story arose out of the following request: "I am trying to locate the grave of Thomas Gardner, husband of Annie Gardner who died in Audlem aged 101 in 1950, and who died in Audlem on 3rd May 1925, aged 80 years.

"I have been in contact with Ralph Warburton and the Cemetery of Crewe and Nantwich but no joy. I was wondering if there were any records of a local Newspaper from 1925 where I could look for clues.

"Annie Gardner went on to live to be a 101 in Audlem, before being taken to Birkenhead for a short period before she died in 1950."

Response

This story attracted the following response:
The image attached (see photo) shows the death certificate of Dave's great-great-grandfather, which identifies his place of residence as Kynsal Heath. The image is a bit grainy, but you can just about read it if you click on it to enlarge it.

Can anyone identify where this is – we have a Kinsey Heath and a Kynsal Lodge Farm, but not a Kynsal Heath as such on modern maps.

Dave also writes: "I would also be interested if anyone remembers my great-great-Grandmother Annie Gardner (b Aug 1848), who was in living in Audlem, when she celebrated her 100th Birthday in Aug 1948."

Please let us know if you have any information and we will pass it on to Dave.
