Problem in Audlem Brook

An Audlem resident writes: "Woke to raw sewage pouring into the stream at end of our garden yet again and from there straight into the River Weaver.

"Very annoyed with United Utilities who are also damaging my garden." We understand they have to use the resident's garden to gain access but not without causing damage. Despite complaints on previous occasions, the water company has yet to respond despite telephone requests that they do so.

The photo was taken yesterday.

We also understand that United Utilities have said that they have dispensation to discharge into the stream if necessary but this cannot be too good for any wildlife in or using the stream.
