Paddy Kenshole has contacted AudlemOnline to say: "Re the bends at Hatherton and the numerous accidents and injuries that have happened, it would not be beyond the realms of imagination of even Cheshire East to put a straight road through the field from the corner of Park Lane to terminate in a roundabout at the corner, where you turn for Crewe.
"I know of many people who have had accidents turning for Crewe."
AudlemOnline knows from past experience that any discussion about the so-called Hatherton Bends can attract a range of conflicting views. But, after the problems experienced this week with black ice, slush etc remaining on the road and seemingly resisting gritting, should a more radical solution be looked at?
