Residents may remember the day a young lady was knocked off her bike by a trailer swinging behind a car which did not stop on the Whitchurch road near the bridge out of the village.

She was left paralysed from the waist downwards but such is her determination that she has won a
gold medal for Britain in the international paratriathlon held recently!

Look for Lizzie Tench on Facebook to read more.

Seen here is a photo from Chronicle a year ago but there are lots on Facebook – please click on photo to get correct proportions!

She used to attend Yoga in the village and I visited her in the hospital at Oswestry.
