AudlemOnline was originally co – founded in 2005 by Bob Cartwright, John Gunstone with help from the Parish Plan Communications Group.

With Bob as editor and main driving force until he was overtaken by ill-health in the last year or two, AudlemOnline has successfully served our local community by bringing news and information to Audlem and surrounding villages. It has also promoted local businesses and residents interests.

It is our intention to continue with these objectives moving forward bringing serious and lighthearted news and information to residents of Audlem, Buerton, Hankelow, Hatherton, Sound, Aston, Combermere and Woore, whilst promoting the interests of residents, businesses and groups.

Who does what?

  • Editor: Alvar Jones
  • Chairman: John Tilling
  • Daily Duty editors (on a weekly rota) Chris Warburton, John Tilling and Alvar Jones.
  • Occasional feature articles: John Evans
  • Technical management: John Gunstone (ThenMedia) and John Tilling.

We have a large database of Businesses and Groups in the area and Jean Stainthorpe joined the team recently to ensure this database is accurate and up to date. With your help we can maintain and expand this information.

Many of our stories and articles come from local residents with fascinating and amusing tales of their exploits and activities many with different groups. Please keep these coming by email (ideally with photos attached) to editor@audlem.org

Anybody else?

Finally, if there is anyone out there who fancies a go at a bit of light-hearted journalism, please get in touch with us and we will be happy to discuss the possibilities.
