For Berni

Dear Editor,
We were saddened to hear of Berni's passing during the night.
Berni's great courage and fortitude in facing her huge challenges inspired me to write the following poem in her honour.

For Berni

Fortitude

Fortitude, a cardinal virtue, a blessing, an AMAZING GRACE
Offering us courage, strength of mind in the difficulties we face.
Resolute, steadfast, overcoming fear with bravery and endurance,
To be strong minded, showing strength of character with resilience
Inspiring others with bravery and moral fibre,
To have strength of mind
Under pressure, in pain and fear,
Displaying
Emotional strength, perseverence and patience to life's end.

Berni we salute your Amazing Grace, your great Fortitude, you will always be an inspiration to others.
