Alan Hanmer has sent photos of the long-term flood in Woodhouse Lane. He apologies for the low resolution but as broadband is not available in his area they have been sent via dial-up, a lengthy process.

In a story on Thursday, Alan said: "Has anyone else mentioned the persistent flood in Woodhouse Lane (near Woodhouse farm)?

"It has been there for months. I reported it over a month ago, without results, but it is now much worse, and dangerous, as it has 'developed' a large 'invisible' (below water surface) pothole.

"Even going slowly, as I know it's there, it cost me a new tyre yesterday. To avoid the pothole it is necessary to approach the blind bend on the 'wrong' side of the road!

"PS Have now got a second flood about 250metres to the south of the first!"

Audlem Online has passed the information about the flood to Cheshire East council. Please let us know of any developments. The Highways team has responded quickly in a number of cases recently and hopefully will deal with this problem very soon given it's dangerous.
