The flag flying capital of England?

This weekend the flags are out again for the summer as Audlem gears up for its Festival and Events season, starting with the Music & Arts Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend, starting on Friday 23rd May.

Public buildings and many private houses in the centre of the village are now displaying the Union flag. We wonder if, for its size, Audlem is the flag flying capital of England? If you know of any rivals for this crown, do let us know.

This coming week, Audlem Online will be featuring the events planned for the Music & Arts Festival. Most events are free and the weather forecasters are already predicting a warm and sunny weekend (fingers crossed that they're right) – so it all points to a fabulous time for music and art lovers, and a boost to many local businesses.
