.I wish to say a huge thank you from Mat Bonell and myself for the very warm response to the plan to restore New Years Eve as a Great Community night with a gathering together in the Square at the hour of midnight – hopefully in Fancy Dress – to see out the old year and ring in the new year, with a very spectacular Firework Display of huge blooms of rockets in the sky overhead.

And seeking to use the much quieter of those rockets.

The following have all honoured their promise of funds:

Julian Adair, Mark & Sarah Ayers, Martin & Louise Balaam, Carol & Steve Bevington, John & Gaynor Brooksbank, Allan & Jo Brown, Cecelia Bebington, Matt Bonell, Tony Birchall, Susan & Charles Cavell, Ben & Sue Clark, Robert & Debbie Collins, John Cooke, Bill & Rose Consterdine, Ian Crutchley, Angela & Graham, Gemma Healy, Bob & Caroline Hope, Finefoodies Deli, Simon Platt & Wendy Humphrey, Mark & Sarah Jeffs, Fiona Jacobs, Paul Jervis, Carolyn & Neil McGowan, Andy & Clare MacKlintock, Overwater Marina, Kev & Tina Mort, Ceri & Phillipa, Anneliese Popovic, David & Deborah Robertson, Frank Shenton, Denise Slater, Jean Stainthorpe, Steve Walker, Ralph Warburton, Susie & Ian Warren, Roger Whittaker, Karen Wollaston, Jane & Brittany Wright, Rick Youle,

May I ask all others who have made a pledge to get me it as soon as possible. I wish to negotiate the best deal possible with the Pyrotechnic company at a time when their cash flow will be low.

I add that anyone wanting to add their names with a pledge will be very welcome.

Mail me at rjw@notrubraw.com or text at 07813 820157.

Please leave your pledge at The Lord C for me or drop into my post box at Buerton House.

Again we say just what a really superb response this has been from very community minded people of Audlem.
