This time next week, on Thursday 22nd May, the Audlem Festival will be getting underway, kicking off five days of superb free entertainment covering music, art and poetry.
The programme for Thursday starts in the evening and features:
7.30pm at The Bridge Inn
The third Audlem Poetry Slam. 15 performance poets go head to head in a live poetry competition. Who will be crowned the Audlem Slam Champ 2014? You decide! We suggest that you get to the Bridge early for a good seat.
9.00pm at the Shroppie Fly
Looping guitar and soulful vocals, London Based James has toured the UK and abroad with groups such as established tribute act 'Rumours of Fleetwood Mac' and supported artists Ruby Turner, The Blockheads, Dr Feelgood, & Georgie Fame.
9.30pm at The Lord Combermere
The vocalsists from the Travelling Band return to the Festival and gift us with their incredible sounds. Superb harmonies performing top quality Americana.
One not to be missed but get there early as the place will be crammed.
