The response to the call to villagers to get down to the Lord Combermere for a live broadcast on BBC1's North West Tonight last night was overwhelming.
A packed pub saw two of the Mend our Mum organisers interviewed which was edited in with a day's filming by News Broadcaster Mark Edwardson who did an amazing job – the presenters back in the studio were simply amazed by the story and praised Audlem to the skies.

Many villagers were featured in the piece including young soloist Macy who, on this form, will be negotiating a record contract soon. She was interviewed and took it all her stride.
The bell ringers, guitarist Jim Kirkpatrick and others featured – including many youngsters waving copies of the DVD to camera during the interviews.
Our thanks to Alisdair Mackenzie, Audlem's Gareth Malone during the recording of the singing, for his photo in this piece. You can see just how packed the pub was watching the live interviews.
The bottom photo by the web team shows the amount of technology required for a live broadcast like this.
We are tempted to say the right hand van in the bottom photo is AudlemOnline's with the BBC's to the left – but that might be a slight exaggeration.
A shorter version of the story went out at 10.30pm on the later news on BBC1.
The first 100 DVDs were on sale in the Lord Combermere and were disappearing fast while the photos of the singing on the church mound were selling well too.
We understand new supplies are being rushed out and will be in the Post Office; Williams' newsagents; TPL Nantwich; Classic Stone, Dagfields; and The Lord Combermere. They are £5 or more if you wish to donate and the photos £2.
