An exhibition featuring the work of Audlem artist Annabel Thornton and John Gilbert Anderson opened last night at Stapeley House.

Those attending the opening included Tracey Petrie and Lynne Smith of Audlem, seen here viewing a work inspired by Lowry.

Annabel Thornton's work on display includes works such as 'Conductor' and a selection featuring horses, water buffalo and animals of the African Plains in a 'Plains & Ponies' exhibition.

Annabel is a multi-award winning artist with prizes from the National Exhibition of Wildlife Artists and has had solo exhibitions in Chester and has exhibited across the country including at the Mall Galleries in London.

Besides producing her own original works, she takes commissions for private individuals and businesses.

John Gilbert Anderson's pieces at the exhibition feature adapted works by Lowry, his favourite, and a selection of ballet scenes inspired by Degas.

It is well worth a visit – all the works are on sale – and you can enjoy the Tastebud cafe which is also in Stapeley House.

The exhibition is supported by Event Orchestra which is a collaboration by two Audlem entrepreneurs, Catherine Reece-Gresty and Laura Jackson-Wood. Both are ASET committee members and will be known to many who enjoy the Audlem Special Events Team's shows in the village.

They bring together 30 years of marketing, communications and business management experience. You can find out more at www.eventorchestra.com and they are based at Stapeley House which is on the A51 London Road between First Dig Lane and the Stapeley traffic lights.
