Everyone seems to be talking about eco-friendly products, and Audlem Mill has just taken into stock a range of cleaning products that are eco-friendly and biodegradable. That's particularly important as they are designed for canal boats, where cleaning materials can get into the canal water, but of course they are perfectly suitable for use at home.

There is a multi-purpose Bathroom Cleaner, which is natural and eco-friendly and 100% biodegradable. It works through natural biological activity. Available in 750ml spray bottles (which can be refilled from the 3.25 litre refill). The Odour Eliminator is aimed mainly at bathroom and toilet areas. It uses bacteria to digest the organic material, and leaves no residue or stain. Again, it is eco-friendly and biodegradable. Other products of a similar nature are a Waterless Wash for cars and boats, a boat Bilge Cleaner, and a clear Toilet Fluid for cassette or tank type toilets. Again, this works through natural methods, and contains no nasty chemicals. It is clear, rather than coloured, to avoid staining to surrounding finishes.

The products do come in plastic bottles, but they are not designed to be single use -- refills for some products are available, and other bottles are good for garden or DIY use after the product has been used up.
