As regular readers will know from previous articles, the Audlem Medical Practice recycles suitable unused drugs from Audlem.
The only problem we have is that all the drugs need to have 15 months life remaining on their 'use by' date to be accepted, but we feel this is a really good project and one of our kind patients comes and sorts through them here at the practice and boxes them up for us.
Below is a letter and a photo – see right – from the charity 'Intercare' after one of our boxes of recycled drugs arrived in Africa:
Dear Austin,
Greetings from Ghana, Madonna clinic. Attached, are the pictures of the drugs you sent to us. Standing there in the picture, the new sister in charge, the one in the white habit with drugs, who is Sr Mary Charlotte, while the one with the blue basin is Sr Mary Frieda.
The forms have been posted. We wish you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. Thank you and God bless you. Bye.
Sr Mary Charlotte Ansah.
