As a follow up to the 22nd June news story about dog fouling along the public footpath between Church View and Churchfields, the publication of the article along with the placement of warning signs in the form of sprayed on yellow dogs initially seemed to reduce the problems that were being encountered.

However, in the last couple of weeks, the problem with dog fouling particularly along the grass verges has returned and intensified, and coupled with the recent warm weather is causing local residents problems with both the smell and flies.

This matter has now been reported to the relevant authorities and in future anyone seen not cleaning up after their dog will be reported.

As a final note, many thanks to all the responsible dog owners of Audlem, the majority who clean up after their dog and use the bin provided along the pathway.
