Roland Hall writes: "The report "Audlem to be well represented in Cheshire East's future" contains some incorrect information.

"When the East Cheshire Unitary Authority is established, the current ward system of elected councillors ceases. Currently Audlem has two wards and two Borough Councillors. Under the new arrangements, Audlem becomes part of the Cholmondley Division which covers a much larger area including Bunbury, Wrenbury, Alpraham, Acton and Combermere. At present there are six councillors elected for the wards in these locations but in future there will be a total of three – which is clearly a drastic reduction.

"Furthermore the three successful candidates will represent the whole new division, so we could end up with a councillor(s) with no local Audlem connections."

Added later: Jethro, however, one of our regular correspondents, reckons the reduced representation won't make any difference!
