A defibrillator will be located in AudlemCycleSport from Thursday 18th of February, making three in the village in all.

Tim and Nikki Ball (who run the AudlemCycleSport shop) are two of the original trained first responders and as such are fully qualified to use the equipment. The shop was suggested as a venue for a defibrillator to NWAS and they took up the offer immediately.

It will only be accessible during business hours, and people need to be aware that they must ALWAYS call 999 ASAP. The defibrillator is a supplementary tool, not a replacement for the emergency service and an ambulance will be despatched as soon as the call is made.

While having three defibrillators in the village is fantastic news and should be a comfort to all, it is even better to try to avoid the need for a defibrillator in the first place, and one of the best ways to do this is to take regular exercise.

And what better way to take regular exercise than to use a bicycle!
