Sally Jowitt sent this plea into Audlem History Society, passed on to AudlemOnlineby Celia Bloor.

Hello

Do you have any records or photos in your archives of Czechoslovak soldiers in the village during WW2?

I believe they were set to task digging near the canal for the gun emplacements that were put there.

I would be grateful for any information. I believe they were at one time near the canal by lock 13 but could have been at other locations too. Probably in the years 1940-41.

Thank you
Regards
Sally Jowitt

No records have been found in the archives of the History Society, but if you have any information for Sally, she would be delighted to hear (and so would the Hoistory Society)
