Crash at Weaver Bridge

Approximately 10.30pm last evening following a loud "bang" as described by a resident of Holly Bank,a vehicle left the road and went through the bridge barriers on the A525 exiting Audlem.

The vehicle was believed to be a tanker but the circumstances are not known by AudlemOnline nor the welfare of any people involved.

Crossing the bridge is under traffic light control but large vehicles may have difficulty because of barrier stones remaining in the road.
