Crashes at Swanbach and Hatherton

A local resident writes: "We have heard a report that a vehicle crashed into a telephone pole at Swanbach this morning.

"The police were there and it is all clear except for the pole leaning at a rakish angle.

"Anyone know anymore?"

Another message about the Hatherton Bends reads: 'Horrible accident this morning on the school run. Blue Peugeot on it's roof and emergency services there. Hope no-one was badly hurt.

"There seems to be ice and slush on the hill – where is it coming from? It isn't anywhere else!"
