New posts driving professionalism at the heart of Morris Care

Two appointments have been made for two brand new senior roles at leading care provider Morris Care, underpinning their strategy to lead the way in clinical excellence within the sector.

Lydia Tyanase is promoted to Clinical Services Manager to oversee the continued development of skillsets and practices required for their work with Clinical Commissioning Groups, in particular around the complex clinical care offered across the organisation's six nursing homes.
Lindsey Marren, takes on the newly created lead role of Operational Support Manager for the Morris Care Group designed to support Home Managers on issues ranging from compliance to quality.
The two appointments provide bespoke resource ensuring the family-run care group stay ahead of the market in the provision of quality specialist services and care packages.

Sue Austin, Chief Operating Officer of Morris Care explained the rationale behind the new roles: 'The posts are a tangible demonstration of our commitment to remain at the vanguard of excellence in delivery of care.
'It is not a case of just keeping abreast of advances in clinical care but constantly developing our own caring philosophies and practices in line with medical advances. This, along with our own Cedar Philosophy of Care, enables us to offer both the professional Commissioner and the resident alike, the best possible quality of care available anywhere' Sue Austin added.

The new appointments also illustrate the company's approach of nurturing and rewarding 'home grown' talent as both candidates have worked in the Morris Care business for a number of years.

Registered Nurse Lydia Tyanase, joined the group in 2001 and quickly advanced to Nurse Manager before being selected for the role which she sees as a natural extension of the work she has been leading at the Morris Care Centre in Telford, working closely with the Telford and Wrekin Care Commissioning Group. Registered Nurse, Lindsey Marren joined in 2011 and has steered the helm of two Morris nursing homes before taking on the overarching Operations role.
Morris Care's reputation for developing and supporting its own nursing and caring talent is a reflection of its family values and heritage as part of Morris & Company, a fifth generation, family-run business group.
Further examples of championing existing talent include the recent promotions to Home Manager of Elaine Hughes at Radbrook and Jonathan Breese at Stretton Hall both having worked in the business for over five years.
Additionally, the group also announced Roberto Tumaliuan, who joined as an overseas nurse in 2010 is promoted to Deputy Manager at Isle Court; Registered Nurse Lisa Wheatley is promoted to Deputy Manager at Radbrook after three years with the business with
Sarah Jacob who joined in 2014 gaining promotion to Deputy Clinical Manager at the Group's Corbrook Park home in Cheshire.

'The message is loud and clear ' if you are looking to join a team with the highest standards and which champions career progression, Morris Care is a good place to plant your ambitions' Sue Austin added.
