Conrad Green is a Chemical Engineering student from the University of Birmingham.

He is offering to repair computers, hardware or software, in the area.

Conrad writes

"I am not looking to make any significant profit and am doing this as a hobby because I am studying at home this year, but want to give something back to my community after living here for 20 years."

He describes the service he can provide

  • Seemingly dead computers may still be salvageable, and important data and photos may still be retrievable!
  • Minor desktop computer repairs (Tower PCs). Note that laptops are much harder to repair and I may or may not be able to repair them (please ask first!).
  • Build brand new custom computers for less than you would pay at the shops!
  • New computer set-up and software installation.
  • Minor software debugging and help.
  • A lot of the time, computer slow-down is due to old/outdated hardware which I will be able to upgrade.
  • Cable repairs using soldering (e.g damage from pets) (excluding mobile phone chargers and other complex cables).
  • Wi-Fi set-up.
  • IT security advice.

"I am looking to help keep Buerton and Audlem's computers up and running for affordable prices, saving you having to buy new computers and expensive trips to computer stores in town."

"I deal with Windows OS and desktop (tower) PC hardware. I can help with any Microsoft software as well as most major software that run on Windows.

"I don't use or have much experience with Apple hardware or software because they are much harder to repair, though I am willing to try if someone is desperate.

"I am planning to be mobile and go to people, but I plan to let people drop off hardware at my house to repair after I have spoken to them via phone"
