Williams' newsagents in Audlem is where many local people buy their coal throughout the year.

Now, Judy Evan's coal merchant at Williams', G Owen & Sons of Newtown, Powys in central Wales, say they were so moved by the TV coverage they saw of Audlem singing Amazing Grace, they have donated a tonne of coal to Mend our Mum.

So, instead of Judy paying G Owens for all that coal bought at Williams' as you buy your supplies for Christmas, the wholesale value of £240 will be paid into the Mend our Mum fund.

What a lovely gift to the village's fund-raising from Wales!
