This year at Audlem Methodist Church it was felt important to pay respect to the great historic fact that peace came in the midst of war on Christmas Day in 1914.

To remember this, all Christmas decorations including the tree have been created with poppies.

Young people also got involved and have constructed the scene in no man's land where gifts were exchanged, and football played in friendship and peace, in celebration of the birth of the Christ child.

You can see this scene on display in the porch of the Methodist Church at any time over the next few days, just pop up the steps and have look.
