Ed: we received this item from Annie Taylor who has recently set up a local life style coaching business

It's still November, but it's time to now turn our attentions to Christmas. Most of us know pretty much what to expect. The dry turkey presented with pride at Mum and Dad's Christmas table, your nephew walking mud onto your off-white carpet on Boxing Day and the usual embarrassing noises from Uncle Derek when he falls asleep after his second helping of figgy pudding. "and no-one's sure whether they should wake him".

There's always so much to do. Add to that, the unscheduled visit from Great Aunt Magda who got a cheap flight from Ozz, and the desperate plea for your youngest to step in as the Angel Gabriel on Christmas Eve. The lead up to Christmas can be seen hurtling at break-neck speed towards you until nothing can save you but your bed socks and what's left of last year's Baileys!

So, I've decided to share some of my Top Tips for a Cool Christmas. Please access these here

Each week I'll have some more tips and I'm sure more people from our village will want to contribute ideas, too. I've included a section on Christmas after loss.I hope my words will be helpful to someone, please do share where appropriate, thank you.

Meanwhile, this will be our first Christmas here in Cheshire – thank you, everyone, for welcoming us so warmly.

Annie
