Cheshire East have announced that public consultation has begun on the next phase of their development plan.
The finalised document will provide the approved framework for housing, employment, and other key infrastructure sites up to 2030.
With the Local Plan Strategy adopted last year, the council has now launched a number of consultations, which will help identify further non-strategic sites for sustainable development, including housing. However, no final decisions will be made until the consultation process is concluded and all feedback considered.
The SADPD (Site Allocations and Development Policy Document) will be subject to two rounds of public consultation, and a series of public hearings chaired by a government planning inspector. If then adopted, it will replace the borough local plan of the former Crewe and Nantwich authority.
As far as Audlem is concerned, there are two sites identified in this category (highlighted on the attached plan from the Planning Portal).
This does not mean that development will necessarily take place on these sites, and in any case all the normal planning procedures will need to be carried out.
Descriptions of both sites, as well as links to register comments and see other comments, can be found on the Cheshire East Planning Portal by clicking here.
This consultation lasts until 22nd October 2018.
