Change of status for parking spaces

Local residents and visitors to Audlem have often expressed surprise at the sheer numbers of disabled parking spaces on the public car park in Cheshire Street. Much of the area outside the Medical Practice and the Public Hall was reserved exclusively for those with disabled parking permits and, as a result, a large part of the car park was unused much of the time.

The balance has been changed this week with five of the disabled bays being changed over to general parking – with white lines marking those five spaces, albeit the rest of the car park remains unmarked. There is still a good number of disabled bays for those that need them.
