Carnival Queen and Princesses

There will be four very excited young Audlem girls on parade for Carnival tomorrow.

Each year the Carnival committee looks to appoint the Carnival Queen and her attendants, chosen from Year 6 of our primary school, St James.

This year, with only four girls in that year, all of them were entered and the pupils voted to draw the name from a hat. The result is that we have the pleasure of Amelia Steele as this year's Queen, with Lucy Titley, Beth Linder Arrowsmith and Mollie Goodwin as the Princesses.

Tomorrow, Bank Holiday Monday 27th May, the retiring Queen will crown Amelia. Then follows a short parade through the village by the Queen and the three Princesses.
