This month the plan of work for the Audlem Volunteer Lock Keepers was to cut back undergrowth on the raised bank area near to lock 3. So sorry to report that this activity has been postponed until later in the month due to heavy rain this morning.

The group of volunteers, 6 in total this month, turned its attentions to our on going project involving our covered accommodation, completing the project of replacing the tool and equipment hanging space within the building.

Again the team were greeted by our permanent Team Leader Ange, who gave the Safety Brief for the day which in turn included an update of the Slip, Trip and Fall awareness update being rolled out across the Canal and River Trust. The update included a question and answer session which the team found both interesting and beneficial.

As normal the next planned Towpath Task Force day is due on the second Saturday in March when we meet outside of our covered accommodation (adjacent to the front of the Audlem Mill Shop at 10:00)

There is always a plentiful supply of hot tea and coffee on site and again 'as always, you are more than welcome to join us for a very rewarding morning'.
