Can you identify this event?

She writes:-

"I wondered if the attached photo is of interest to you.

It is of an event at Audlem church, but I don't know what or when.

It was taken by my Father who was the pharmacist in Audlem from 1937 until 1957, Mr D.E.C.Paterson.

As the photo is a bit of a mystery to me, I would be interested if you have any ideas about what this event was, or any further information.
