Audlem Online has been contacted by the Parish Council with the following message: "As yet in its early stages, Audlem Youth Council aims to let the young people of the village have a say and get involved in life in Audlem. Eventually, it will be run by young people for the benefit of young people. It is hoped that suggestions from our younger village members will lead to better facilities and activities for the youth of Audlem.

"We are looking for great ideas and we're sure there are lots out there. One recent suggestion is a disco in the village for 11-16 year olds and we expect to set a date for this, as soon as the details can be arranged. We are also looking into the provision of a meeting place for teenagers and future sports tournaments.

"If you are aged between 11 and 18 and would like to make your views known on any issue of village life, or, if you just want to see what's going on, why not come along to a meeting?

"The meetings are held once a month on a Monday at 6.30pm at Audlem School and are very informal. The next one is on 9th June. For more information, please contact Kate Down on 811160, or Richard Furber on 811598."
