For the last three years attention on Audlem Public Hall has necessarily been focused on the Annexe, as funds for it were raised, it was built, formally opened and has now started to operate.
But in the background the Town Hall as it is now known has carried on as it has for years, providing the venue for so many village activities...
The week just past is typical of a busy week for the Town Hall
There were all the weekly scheduled events like the ladies tabletennis, the badminton club, the yoga and Zumba classes and the use of the kitchen for the ADCA Tuesday Club lunch, as well as the Senior Citizens using the snooker room.
On several of these occasions the event spilled over from the Town Hall into the Annexe Small Hall as well, as we start to develop the idea of events that can take advantage of both venues.
So the future of Audlem Public Hall looks bright – we still have to work out the final sums for the Annexe construction, but we are now turning our attention to some of the decoration and insulation issues in the Town Hall which have been inevitably put to one side while the Annexe project was in progress.
You can see the diary of bookings for the Town Hall and Annexe in the Calendar section of the Public Hall website, here
