Bridge break-in during early hours

There was a break-in at the Bridge last night at around 3.30am. It is rumoured that one culprit has been caught. A report has come into Audlem Online that since about 6.30 this morning there have been many police officers on patrol in cars going up and down the Whitchurch Road and stopping to look in to the fields. Eight police cars in all have been seen and it is said the search for another culprit continues. A low flying aeroplane has also been circling slowly over the village and surrounding area in what could well be an aerial search.

Naturally, if you see anything or anybody suspicious, do call the police immediately. Tonight is the Community Action Meeting, at 7.00pm at St James' Primary school, where there could be an update on what has been a very busy day locally for the police.
