I am very very sorry to be the bearer of such sad news. But that so strong woman, that so wonderful woman, Berni Cliffe, died this morning at 3.16am.
Her battle against that invidious invader is over. So very sad that the year which has just ended in the campaign to Mend our Mum is over.
More details of her funeral later. With my own deep, deep sorrow.

AudlemOnline adds: We are sure that all that have been touched by Berni's and her family's battle over the past sixteen months will be desperately sorry to read this news this morning.
Berni's daughters, Terri and Hannah, started Mend our Mum in the summer of last year after Berni was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. While a cure was never likely, the fund to provide treatment that was not available on the NHS started with sponsored walks and then went national through TV, radio and the press when the Audlem Music Festival team, with the help of over a thousand local residents, produced the Amazing Grace DVD.
Within months of the December 2014 launch of the video, the £100,000 target was reached and Berni went for treatment first in London and then Houston Texas, where she had to spend seven difficult weeks after extensive surgery.
We are sure that everyone's thoughts are with Colin, Terri and Hannah and Berni's family and many friends this morning. Her brave battle touched so many people far and wide.
