Benches around the playing field a gift

(The website link that was here no longer works) Today's Nantwich Guardian reports how Cox bank resident David Hodgkins has donated £2,500 towards new village benches in a generous bid to give something back to the community. Aged 79, he has lived at Cox Bank for 50 years. David is pictured on one of the benches in the report with village representatives from the Parish Council, ADAS and the Public Hall. Audlem Parish Councillor Mike Hill is quoted, saying: "We really appreciate this great act of generosity and are delighted with the new seating. I hope it will encourage people to sit and enjoy our lovely village."
