All seemed to go exceedingly well at Audlem's 1st Beer Festival with the specialist beers and ciders at all three pubs selling well.

There was a wide range of ales to enjoy at the Bridge inn, the Lord Combermere and the Shroppie Fly with over thirty cask ales plus a selection of excellent ciders to enjoy.

Live music added to the occasion and, hopefully, this will be the first of many Beer Festivals. Audlem Online congratulates the three pubs and ASET on pulling together another great event in the Audlem calendar.

Dave Joynson of ASET kept Audlem Online up to date with all the developments and we know he worked hard with his ASET colleagues and the pubs to make it all happen. The Festival programme was superb with tasting notes for every featured beer and cider. As our photo shows, it was appreciated by all ages – the programme that is, not the beer!

It was good to see the Virgin balloon flying over Audlem yesterday afternoon for a close look at the Festival. We're not sure if they landed and, if so, which beer they opted for. There was, after all, a fabulous choice.
