Balsam Pulling on Turnpike Field

Tuesday 18th August

The next session is on Tuesday 18th August -- pull up the Himalayan Balsam in Turnpike field. Please meet at 18.30 in the top field at the first picnic table on the path from Whitchurch road pedestrian access.

Footwear is your choice but wellies/waders for those who like to get in the brook assuming it is safe to do so. Gloves are advisable. Please bring a garden rake if you can and secateurs for dealing with any nettles/brambles (to get to the balsam) and a vis-vest if you have one.

Of course if you are walking through the field and see some balsam, please pull it up. Please leave ragwort alone.
