We now have 25 households in Audlem who have joined the "Oil Baron" kerosene bulk buying scheme and on Thursday 26th August ten properties had a fuel oil delivery of 6300 litres between them.

The bulk price based on 29,650 litres was 37.65 p/litre whereas individual quotations for 500 litres were as much as 45p. So members of the group saved £36.75 on average for just 500 litres, and you could nearly double this for 1000 litres.

To date we have purchased approx 370,000 litres of kerosene since our main operational start date of September 2008 with an estimated saving to our members of some £18,000.

Audlem Online editor says: I've received personal endorsements of this scheme from some of those that have joined. They say they pay the oil company directly after a delivery and simply enjoy the savings that Kevin negotiates for a bulk delivery to the same area.
