The Audlem Ramblers Society, or ARS as it is affectionately known to all, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a dinner at the Lord Combermere tomorrow. In contrast to most other diners, ARS members will have walked off the calories before the meal with a walk during the day! They are completing an 11 mile circle in the Pennines from Edale up Mam Tor, down to Hope (where all will be hoping the village pub there still operates) before climbing Win Hill and then back to Edale.

If you are interested in the walk, meet on Audlem car park at 7.50am for an 8.00am departure.

During its 10 years, ARS has organised walks in the surrounding countryside or areas such as the Peak District; North Wales; the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Walks are monthly, normally on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Those wishing to join a walk should meet on Audlem car park, normally at 9.00am although it can be earlier as this month for more distant destinations. Watch this website for announcements about walks.
