Given the sad news this week, last night's North West Tonight on BBC1 saw the Mend our Mum campaign and the successful fund-raising effort by so many people dealt with very sensitively by Jill Dummigan. The BBC reporter interviewed Terri and Hannah Cliffe at home and members of the Mend our Mum team in The Lord Combermere.
Using clips from the Amazing Grace video and shots and commentary from the church mound, Jill described how the campaign had come about, Berni's treatment in London and Houston and her sad death this week. You can watch the short report by clicking on the image on the right of this article.
Ralph Warburton was also interviewed on the Tim Wedgwood show on BBC Radio Stoke – that was the first programme last year to cover the Mend our Mum campaign – and you can hear the very emotional discussion, it's about eight minutes long by clicking here. It's about 44 minutes minutes into the programme.
