Regular readers will recall that agreement was reached with British Waterways last month that the permanent moorings in Audlem will remain. A number of permanent mooring sites that were under threat will now be re-let.

Dave Martin, who was amongst the group that met with BW officials in January, has brought to Audlem Online's attention that BW have now started to advertise the Audlem moorings, just as they promised.

Click on the link beneath the photo for full details of the mooring on offer.

The permanent moorings in the village are the Audlem Town Pound (running south from Lock 12) and Audlem North Pound, between Locks 13 and 14.

Fifteen permanent moorings in the village are already let but about five more, depending on boat lengths, will now be let gradually. Spot dredging work will be required for some of the moorings which have silted up while empty.
